When a man set off to claim them, it started a war between them
that raged for a decade.
The dragon was confused by the man, but still fought him off.
For while he would happily give a scale away, he would only
give it to his partner.
One day, as the dragon dreamed of possible partners, the man
snuck up and snatched a scale away, causing the dragon's roar
to ring across the land.
The man then confessed: He was in love with the dragon, for he
was unable to love humans. Enraged and confused, the beast
immediately swallowed him whole.
