Ideal primary weapons for support costumes must be non-proficient (to limit AAs and animation times) and have Valiance, Render, Ire (Onslaught) or elemental Crush/Support.
If you have enough Valiance and Render from other sources (Companion and/or CS) then prioritize Ire (Onslaught) and elemental Crush/Support.
