There was once a staff that had been passed down through
generations of a royal family. It was said that any who carried
the staff into battle would be guaranteed victory.

So had regents ever commanded their soldiers with the staff
and used it to shepherd the country to great victories. But the
staff had no power over the slow vagaries of time, and
eventually its might was lost to the ages.

Recently, however, the staff was uncovered during an
excavation. The country's rulers immediately brought in
researchers from far and wide to divine the power of the staff
and how it led always to victory.

Their discovery was terrifying. The staff had a power that
could control both soldiers and wielder; it was a mighty crook
that produced perfect sheep who felt no fear.
