Deep in the forest lived a boy who could talk to inhuman things.
This power caused his parents to abandon him in the woods, and
he walked a lonely road. But in place of human parents, he was
raised by a spirit known only as The Master.

When the boy came of age, he came across some villagers being
attacked by a monster. The kindhearted boy ran to The Master for
help, who in response bestowed upon him a spear that housed a
strange power.

The boy used the spear to dispatch the monsters threatening the
villagers. And though he was happy to help, the people all feared
him—for not only did he wield a strange power, he could not even
speak the human tongue.

Rumors soon spread that the boy's rage over being abandoned had
caused the monsters to appear, so the villagers went to his forest
and burned it down. And when the smoke cleared, only a single,
blackened spear remained.
