Where to Start

We're back again with Fate Board: Shadow! Before getting into it, here's a few general notes:

Another stage has been added for this Fate Board; you may have some quests already completed if you had participated in that before.
This event focuses on both dark and light affinity enemies, so you’ll need to change up your loadouts accordingly for each quest.
This is a high-difficulty event, and the quests within will not be forgiving to new players with limited resources. Be warned!
This event's quests do not require you to grind quests many times over in order to receive the most valuable rewards. Stamina isn't much of a concern.
Many of the rewards involved with this event involve materials geared towards refining weapons, and exalting characters - make sure to use those materials wisely!

This event will have you take on two stages of five challenging quests for a total of ten quests. Each quest has three unique quest missions that will require you to meet specific parameters in order to complete them.

To help complete these quest missions, each quest has a specified Loadout Bonus which can grant fairly substantial buffs for your party, so make sure to take advantage of those!

Don’t forget - make sure to tap on the boss at the quest confirmation screen to get an idea of what weaknesses, resistances, special attacks, and other special conditions may be present while taking on the boss; this can certainly help prepare your loadout accordingly.

Recommended Character Costumes

You'll be setting up many different loadouts - not only to match up properly against the right affinity, but also to satisfy quest missions. Here's some suggestions for your dark and light affinity loadouts:

Dark Affinity Loadouts: Reborn Beast Reborn Convict Yuletide Werebeast Celebratory Student Celebratory Ruler Frozen-Heart Truant	Reborn Beast continues to be an all-star costume of all game modes, and no exception is to be within Fate Board: Shadow. Reborn Beast (EX Levania) is an incredible DPS costume, and provides longevity with the aforementioned damage resistance. Pair Levania up with the associated Recurring Sin IV for top-tier damage, or Blackhorn Hate for some extra light-damage resistance. Reborn Convict (EX 063y) provides solid DPS performance, however can come in clutch if his HP is in a critical state - and provide huge killing blows at critical moments. Yuletide Werebeast's Vigor and Void Drive pushes her attack stats sky high, and using a dark-affinity weapon allows the “Snowman!” character skill to almost guarantee 7 million+ damage each time it's used. Yuzuki has recently descended into the meta; Celebratory Student is certainly worth investing in. With high attack stats, Dark Pursuit, and a destructive character skill, this one's hard to pass up against light-affinity enemies. Celebratory Ruler (along with most other high-powered gun character costumes) remains a recommendation simply due to her high damage output; pairing her up with Treason's Reward as a main hand allows her to have a quick trigger for her character skill's bonus damage - another easy way to get 7 million+ damage combos against the toughest bosses. Despite having an off-affinity damage reduction passive for this event, Celebratory Captive seems to be a better recommendation over Reborn Sorceress (EX Saryu); having a lesser character skill gauge, slightly more healing, along with an AOE attack debuff makes for a better support character in comparison. While not having the most destructive character skill out there, Frozen-Heart Truant provides an immense amount of attack power to keep your regular combos pouring with damage. Light-damage resistance is definitively a plus as well.
Light Affinity Loadouts: Frozen-Heart Contractor Reborn Princess Reborn Revolutionary Celebratory Belle Abstract Ruler Celebratory Ruler Phantasmal Boor	Frozen-Heart Contractor provides a much desired combination: one-hand sword, dark damage resistance, and high attack power. With her character skill, the enemy will take on quite a beating, not only from Gayle, but from the rest of the loadout as well. As a whole, Reborn Princess (EX Fio) serves well for the effort of obtaining her Cadeau Royal IV and the costume itself. Her character skill is certainly powerful, but will also self-heal for 50% HP; even without a dedicated healer, Fio will likely be the last to go down. Reborn Revolutionary (EX Rion) serves as a great support and tank - while his healing and damage from his character skill isn't as potent as Reborn Sorceress (EX Saryu), his Void Guard will likely keep him in the battle for longer for this event. Pairing him up with the BSE_TypeMW IV staff will keep the heals unending. Those lucky enough to pull in Celebratory Belle will now wield huge amounts of light-damage at their disposal. Pairing her up with her own Stellar Halberd, or with Noelle's Gae Bolg will do wonders. Yurie's Abstract Ruler costume brought in a rare combination - high attack, light-affinity, and a gun. Her Lucid Drive will bring her attack levels to incredible levels, and her character skill will certainly help pile on more with both a defense debuff and light-damage received debuff. As with dark-affinity loadouts, Celebratory Ruler remains a recommendation simply due to her high damage output. Yudil's Phantasmal Boor costume is simply an extreme powerhouse. Super-high attack, a light-affinity pursuit bonus, a ridiculous character skill, and even more attack power from light weapons (at A3) makes this hard to turn down.

Rewards

There are lots of rewards to obtain!

There are various rewards obtainable by completing each quest; you’re also rewarded a Piece: Black Pearl for each quest mission you complete (3 obtainable per quest).
Similar to Abyss Tower events, there are rewards available based on the total amount of quest missions completed.
Period Achievement Rewards are obtained similarly to weekly Arena and Subjugation rewards - these are rewards for quests completed up to a point that can be obtained by logging in after the event’s availability period.
Lastly, there are Stage Clear rewards - upon completing a full stage, a treasure chest will appear on the stage/event screen - tap it to claim those rewards!
